Named for former postmaster William B. Allgood, the Town of Allgood, Alabama is located just south of the City of Oneonta in Blount County’s beautiful Murphree’s Valley.
Boasting a small town atmosphere, convenient location and low cost of living, Allgood is an affordable option for those looking to start a business or raise a family in Blount County.
Currently hosting a population of 689 citizens, school-aged children are zoned to attend the newly renovated Southeastern (a Blount County School), which recently expanded its capabilities to accommodate K-12 grade. In addition, Allgood is proud to be served by a highly skilled volunteer fire & rescue squad with an ISO rating of 5/9.
